The Tsawwassen Minor Softball Association is looking for Umpires to join our Umpire team. We are looking for kids who want to have fun in the park and earn a little summer spending money along the way.
We will train kids eleven and above and the Umpire certification program and dates for the 2010 season will be published here when they are available.
Umpiring is a great first job. Pay per game ranges form $13/hour to $23/game. Games at the earlier levels (which the younger umpires would supervise) generally last one hour to an hour and a half.
More experienced umpires would work double headers and tournaments at the older age groups as well as week day games.
A couple of our first year 12 year old umpires made $400 + last year working one or two games a week during our season which lasts from April to mid June.
Our veteran umpires made $2,000+ dollars during the season.
We provide equipment, training, support and weekend meals for all of our kids.
Umpiring is a memorable way to gain confidence, management experience, develop and improve self-esteem and have a little fun for a couple of months.
Interested children should send a note of intent to Mike Schneider (
